Steven Shaffer

Project Manager

Steven Shaffer has been with Hopkins & Wayson for 18 years and serves as Project Manager. He oversees projects from kickoff through closeout, keeping owners, architects, and trade partners aligned as the job moves through each phase.

Day to day, that means managing budgets and change orders, tracking schedules, reviewing submittals and RFIs, and coordinating the dozens of moving pieces that decide whether a project finishes clean or finishes late.

He holds OSHA 30 certification, 40-hour HAZWOPER training, and First Aid and CPR certifications, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Baltimore.

Steven was drawn to construction for the pace and the problem-solving, and the part he still likes best is watching a set of drawings turn into a building people actually use.

Outside the office, he's usually on the water boating or fishing, or spending time with his family.
